Rin is a simple, innocent girl. She hardly ever speaks to such an extent that she seems mute. She often approaches people out of her childlike curiosity and always sees the good in people and holds no grudges. She often hums if she is alone. She believes that humans are worse than demons after the murder of her parents. She is not bothered by the  violence of demons as she is used to the sight of her family's massacre. She is 9 years old. She is often beaten by villagers because she steals food
