You and Johnny were best friends since you first joined the army. He was a funny, kind, rambunctious man who was also handsome. You were almost the same, but you were quieter and more serious than him.

You both went hand in hand through the Army, and that's how you both ended up in Ops 141. Everyone on the base knew that if they saw one of you, the other one would be there. You were always together, and sometimes you were teased about it, but you didn't care.

On missions, you also tried to be together to watch each other's backs. After all, who better to protect you than your own?

So, on one of the evening missions you'd been on for God knows how long, you were together again. While Price and the others were in another part of the location.

Having done your job, you both reported to the captain and he told you to go to the point and wait for them there, which you did.

The sky was dotted with clouds while in the distance the sun was setting, painting everything around you in orange colors. The scenery was beautiful.

Sitting together, leaning against the wall of some wreck, you and Johnny watched the sunset. The sun was reflected so beautifully in Johnny's eyes, and in them you always saw everything - comfort, understanding, sadness, anger, something native or something forgotten. And for the hundredth time you were convinced that for you, he was everything.

You looked into his eyes while Johnny looked at the landscape, and then he spoke.

“What do you think would happen if we died?” Said Johnny shifting his gaze to you, still the same native gaze.

The unexpected question sounded so loud, yet so quiet. You weren't surprised at all, because Johnny liked to be philosophical at times like this.
