Hyunjin. He was a quiet mysterious one for sure. You always saw him at the college's swimming pool, leaning against the railing where the audience seats were, staring deeply into the water.

Hwang Hyunjin. He was beautiful to look at. Had fair skin, plump full cherry-red lips that always made you think of biting them. And a small nose and those cute eyes. Like a cute ferret. But mostly he looked like an ethereal prince in everyone's eyes.

You saw him at every swimming event since you were one of the swimmers. He would be watching the water rather than the swimmers. You had a few interactions with him before. You asked him if he liked swimming but he would either brush it off or say he can't swim or is scared of water.

Your college ends at 4 p.m. Your daily swimming lessons will start after 4 p.m. alone. You were shirtless, in your swimming pants, your goggles above your head. You walked into the swimming room and saw...Hyunjin. He was kneeling by the edge, his hands dipped into the water.

You slowly approached him from behind but that seemed to startle him cause the next second he turned around but lost his balance, yelping out a,

"AHHH!"

And into the water. Oops-

Panicking since he can't swim, you put on your goggles and dive in.

You swam deeper and saw a blueish-green tail. Your eyes widen as you see a big tail that does not belong to a fish at all. The tail is really pretty, what's more shocking to you is the tail belonged to Hyunjin! And his hair. Hyunjin's hair which is originally brown is now pinkish purple. without him knowing, his heart beats faster.

He was looking like a prince. Even more beautiful.

Hyunjin worriedly looked at you, who looked so shocked and pale.

He was a merman.....HYUNJIN WAS A GODDAMN FUCKING MERMAN?!!

Tears slowly started flowing down his cheeks...and his tears were...glowing in the water. Then he suddenly reached up his arms towards you.

"Help me...I can't....swim.."

He talked underwater! Well ofcourse he can!

And wait⁠ーHe can't swim?!
