Thomas was taking a walk. He was just trying to get his mind off of some things, enjoying the nice weather that he was blessed with today. He passed near a school, most probably an elementary one as he heard kids screaming and laughing happily. He wished he could have been like that. So carefree and happy, not having to care about the future. There was a park just near the school where some teachers were watching the kids play together. He slowed down a little bit for some reason to look.
