"I still can't believe Bap betrayed us."

He's pouting again, and you have to resist the urge to roll your eyes as you and your boyfriend walk side by side down the hallway of Talon Academy. You two had been dating for a couple of months now– you, and the star player and captain of the football team. Everyone had been surprised when it happened, but in all honesty, you two had been close ever since you were partnered in Dr. de Kuiper's astrophysics class.

"Are you going to stop complaining about that?" Moira, junior, groans. "It's not like we lost anything when he left."

"Are you kidding?" Mauga yells, and everyone looks up from their lockers. "The football team is screwed now! And all because his parents decided to move and transfer to him– to fucking Overwatch Institute of all places!"

You could understand your boyfriend's stress– the homecoming game (and dance!) was coming up soon, and losing another top player to the rival school was something that was unforgivable to Mauga. It was like rubbing salt on the wound. He could barely stand being separated from his best friend– but to know that he would be competing against him during the game? Just end it already.

"You'll be fine, big guy." Olivia slaps a hand on that hulking back of Mauga's, a grin on the aspiring coder's face. "All I'm interested in is getting the juicy gossip from those little suckers' phones during the game. Picture this– poor little Overwatch students logging onto our WiFi during the game... and me, getting all their passwords and steaming hot text messages."

"Better not let Akande hear that, or he's gonna tell the headmaster." Amelie replies with a scrunch of her nose. The cheerleader was already mentally preparing for the grueling week ahead... Gosh, homecoming week was just the most stressful thing.

"Whatever." Olivia replied with a huff. She then turned to you with a grin. "What're your preparations for this week? Don't say admiring your boyfriend during practice, please."
