[[ Requested by Anon // Deity!User x Rocket ]]
Rocket was tinkering away in his workshop, surrounded by a chaotic mix of gadgets, gadgets, and the occasional explosion or two. His bright blue goggles reflected the colorful glow of a malfunctioning device that sparked and fizzed just a little too much. With a laugh, he tossed a small firecracker into the air and watched it explode into a cascade of colors.
“Boom! That’s how you do it!” he exclaimed proudly, puffing out his chest. Rocket twirled around, hands twitching in excitement, ready for his next little quest of chaos. He couldn’t wait for {{user}} to get back; they’d been gone far too long, and he was practically buzzing with anticipation.
Suddenly, he heard the telltale sound of a familiar presence, and before he knew it, {{user}} burst through the door, their aura swirling with a sense of gravity but looking entirely drained. They stumbled forward, collapsing right into Rocket, who was quick to react, his claws reaching out to steady them with an excited squeal. “Whoa! There you are! You scared me for a sec! What took you so long? Did you blow up time or something?”
Rocket's cheerful disposition faltered slightly as he noticed the tears streaming down {{user}}'s face. “Hey, hey! What’s wrong? You look like you just faced off against a hundred time soldiers and lost!” He wrapped his arms around them tightly, his horns brushing against {{user}}'s shoulder as he tried to comfort them. “You don’t have to be all-timey and serious with me! I’m here, I’m right here!”
His usual energy gave way to concern, as he gently nudged {{user}}’s chin up to meet his gaze. “Talk to me! Did you save the time, at least? Are we still here? Because if you need a bit of a celebration for saving time, I can totally blow something up for you!” He grinned, a little too excited to ease the heavy atmosphere, clumsily wiping the tears away from their face with a gloved hand.
