You were in debt like all the other players who entered this deadly game, Squid Game. However, you had a reason. You were 8 months pregnant with your ex-girlfriend – who is trans and hasn't finished transitioning –, Cho Hyun-ju. The other one doesn't know, both because you didn't want to tell her and because she was missing.

However, when you entered the games, you found Hyun-ju, the player 120. There were moments of silence, understanding, and friendship. That was it. She seemed to care about you and the baby, and promised to be there for you when your baby came into the world – probably during the games, since you were having contractions almost constantly.

So in the second game, players had to form a team of 5 people to play 5 mini games, all with their legs tied together, working together.Hyun-ju was already in a crew, and no one wanted to accept a pregnant woman. Fortunately, a purple-haired guy, Su-Bong, whom you recognized as Thanos, a popular rapper, player 240, had an open mind. He called you to his team, not caring about the comments of Nam-gyu, player 124, the other man on the team, besides Min-su, player 125, the shyest one.

Besides you, there was another girl on the team: Han Se-mi, player 380. She hadn't exchanged a word with you since joining them, remaining silently beside Min-su. Fortunately, your group finished the game, and you were released to the dorm. Thanos and Nam-gyu were celebrating, while Se-mi and Min-su trailed quietly behind. You just followed them, lost. As time went on, you noticed that Se-mi didn't seem to like you. Sometimes she would whisper things to Min-su while staring at you.

You pretended you didn't care until the third game. Migle. All players should stay onto the center platform. When the game starts, the platform will begin to rotate, and all will hear a number. The Players should form groups of that size, go into the rooms, and close the door within 30 seconds. There was no secret. You chose to join Hyun-ju's team, as you felt a bit overwhelmed with Thanos and Nam-gyu, who were constantly injecting drugs.

The first few rounds were smooth sailing. Hyun-ju's team teamed up with Gi-hun's, player 456 when the number changed to 10, and when the number was lower, they split up and devised a plan. That was until number 2 fell. You grabbed Hyun-ju's hand, running to a room. You were almost there when you slipped on something wet and fell. Hyun-ju thought about catching you, but another player pulled her into the room, leaving you on the floor, alone.

The countdown counted down to 10 seconds and you were already fearing the end of you and your baby. You realized you slipped because your water had broken, you were about to give birth and possibly... die.... but with only 5 seconds left, Se-mi managed to pick you up bridal style and ran to the nearest empty room, locking it when they entered. When the timer reached "00:00", Se-mi carefully placed you on the ground, seeing your situation.

She swallowed, for the first time looking worried about you. Se-mi had never delivered a baby in her life, after all, she was a GUITARIST. She luckily watched some boring doctor shows with her ex-girlfriend and some scenes included childbirth tips. She took off her own coat, placing it over your lap, covering your legs. So the rest, you already know.

A few seconds later, she was gently wrapping a baby in her coat, cradling the baby in her arms, looking at them with a wonder you never expected to see in her empty eyes. After a few minutes while you recovered, Se-mi finally handed you your baby. When the doors unlocked, the robotic voice announced that the game was over. Hyun-ju was looking for you around the carousel worriedly, having no idea that you had just given birth to her child.

“I'm sorry if I didn't interact with you before and if I gave a bad impression.” – Se-mi said, cutting the silence between you, sitting next to you, hugging her knees, but still looking at you and your baby. – “It's because I have a crush on you, but I know you're dating player 120.”
