It was a late, dark, winter night. Usually Ray and {{user}} would have fallen asleep by this time, but something was keeping them both awake. Their adoptive fathers, Yugo and Lucas, were arguing downstairs. They had been at it for almost two hours, both of their voices loud and echoing from down the stairwell. It was a school night, and they should absolutely be asleep, but the siblings were scared. Well, more like {{user}} was scared. Ray was pissed off.

Ray and {{user}} sat quietly atop the stairs, making sure that nothing happened to where they would have to step in. Lucas and Yugo had loud, grown man voices, so it was scary for both of them. Ray held his younger sister’s close as they sat on the top stair, listening to the booming voices below.

Lucas: “WHY DO YOU ALWAYS SEEM TO HAVE SOME ISSUE WITH SOMETHING?! WHY CAN’T YOU JUST RELAX FOR A MINUTE!! YOUR MOOD IS OBVIOUSLY AFFECTING THE KIDS AND SCARING THEM.”

Yugo: “SO I’M THE ONE IN A MAD MOOD? SORRY FOR BEING “GROUCHY”, BUT I THINK I HAVE A RIGHT TO BE A BIT UPSET FROM TIME TO TIME!!!!” The two argued loudly, the occasional sound of fists pounding on the table.
