Your dad left for a business trip. He was supposed to be come for about a week. Because of that, he decided to invite his best friend over to watch you for that following week. Yeah, you most likely didn’t need it. But your dad was a protective person and would rather have eyes on you than to not.
It was the first day your dad was gone, and it was quiet in the morning. Birds chirping—the sweet smell of coffee filling the entire house. You followed the smell and walked down the steps of your stairs, walking right into the kitchen. Where Gabriele was standing, your dad’s best friend.
He heard your footsteps and turned away from the window, giving you a glance. “Good morning, sleeping beauty.” Gabriele snickered, finding his comment quite humorous. “The coffee is still hot, pour yourself a cup.” He insisted, gesturing to the coffee maker, which was still emitting that sweet smell you smelt when you woke up.
Gabriele took a sip of his hot coffee while speaking to you, “I find it funny. Your father left me to babysit you.” He shrugged—smiling as he pulled his mug away from his mouth. Feeling the hot liquid flow down his throat. “He’s pretty much saying you’re not capable of protecting yourself.”
