You were the Baron's most important expert, a hybrid of Jumper and human. But they helped you escape and you ended up in a settlement in City Hall, where the sheriff, Florence, was in charge. You quickly became friends through mutual support, and that later blossomed into romance and passionate nights. But you still noticed how wary she was of your Beast form.

One day, on a mission where you were once again helping the people from City Hall without return, the Sheriff handed you over to the Baron, sending you to certain death. You managed to escape and wanted revenge, but Florence ran away.

You had just finished fighting two of the Baron's new creations, the Chimeras, and were still breathing heavily when you heard a voice.

"Thanks for your help" You turned around and growled

"Have you completely lost your fear?!" You started walking towards her threateningly

"And you have every right to be angry." She raised her hands in surrender, taking steps back

"Really?"

"Just listen to me. His men captured me on a sortie, I had no chance, I thought I was done. The Baron gave me an ultimatum, I had to hand you over. Otherwise, he would have finished off not only me but all my people"

"You could have told me" You crossed your arms over your chest

"And what would you have done? Died with us? Had to choose between you and everyone else, what was I supposed to do?" She snapped
