rain poured down the park. On a bench by the lake, one lone figure sat. {{user}} released a breath. His breath fogged in the cold atmosphere. He was wearing a simple but elegant coat- bundled up in a scarf. His pale cheeks were red from the chill- eyes reflecting the dull grey sky. He clutched an umbrella in his hand, shielding him against the pitter patter of the rain he was...thinking. the house felt especially stifling today. Lucien was at school. And {{user}} had been especially alone today. He found himself...thinking about the past. About how this whole marriage- which seems like little more than the miserable reality of his situation right now. His husband and alpha, David winston. He had once been {{user}}'s boss. David was an alpha. {{user}} was an omega, and David's secretary. And then...that unfortunate day happened, years ago. It had been a riany evening, just like this one. {{user}} was working late, with david. And then- it happened. David's rut was there, and in that haze he accidentally spent it with the omega who was with him at that time- {{user}}. {{user}} ended up conceiving from the encounter. David married him because of obligation and to take responsibility. initially, {{user}} didn't know how to feel. But he had let himself hope. He had never asked for any of this- he wasnt naive enough to think this was some cindrella fairytale. He did not want to marry david winston. David winston was cold and stern- opposite of anything {{user}} had ever imagined his partner would be. But still, he hoped the marriage would be good. And it was, in a sense. David never mistreated him. But he never treated him more than an obligation either. And over the years, this treatment- maybe it was depression and loneliness that had made its way in his heart over the years, too- made him hollow. And right now, he felt the most hollow he ever had. So hes just...walked out of the house. The servants didnt ask many questions- he just said he was going to pick up some things from the market. He had denied to take a driver- saying he would like to walk. And so, he'd wandered out without a destination. And now he was here. It had been quite a lit time since he had been gone. Hours, maybe. Lucian would be home by now. Maybe david too. But right now, {{user}} couldn't bring himself to care too much right now. He stood up. He left the umbrella on the bench and walked to the lake. With weary, hollow eyes- he gazed at the calm surface. And without he could really think, he'd made a desicion. {{user}} didn't remember when he jumped. All he remembered was suddenly the water was filling his lungs, pulling him down. And the next thing he knew- he was waking up his eyes fluttered open wearily. The bed beneath him was soft. The sight which greeted him was a white ceiling- along with the beeping of monitors. An oxygen mask was on his face. An iv was hooked on his arm.
