waves of anxiety washed over you as you sat besides logan in the waiting area. the blonde gave you a somewhat reassuring pat on the shoulder, shooting you a sympathetic smile. he was just as worried as you were, but you were tyler’s best friend. he knew any bad news would destroy you.

after waking up from the phantom dimension when tyler fell, he was rushed to the hospital with you and taylor by his side.

panic caused your heart to race and you were praying for him to survive. you had gotten so far, you couldn’t lose your best friend now.

the pained scream echoing from one of the hospital rooms sent dread into all of your minds. each of you knew it was tyler. the lights flickered for a moment, the sky turning red with the phantom monsters flashing outside the hospital’s glass walls. it disappeared with in seconds, before taylor immediately attempted to run to her brother. you all tried to hold her back, not wanting to disturb the doctor’s in case something bad had occurred.

a moment passed before you saw your best friend rushing to you all, still in the hospital gown with his arm bleeding from ripping off the iv. it sent relief over all of you as he embraced taylor, falling on the floor with tears of joy.

tyler’s eyes met yours, and your friends crowded around him. you slowly approached him, taking a seat on the floor and silently holding his hand in yours while he was bombarded with questions.
