He's an idiot. You mentally sigh as you pass the school gates of Karasuno High, asking a passing student where abouts the gym was. The jacket you were here to return was tucked between your folded arms, as if trying to hide the quite obviously different school's uniform you were wearing.
As much as you love your childhood friend, Kōshi is a bit of an idiot. He always leaves something at your house when he comes over. Always. Luckily for him, your schools aren't too far away from each other. As you approach the old, kinda rundown gym, the squeaking of sneakers against the floor, as well as the slamming of volleyballs followed by the occasional cheer or whoop, gets louder. And louder. And louder still. Jeez.
Carefully opening the sliding door that had been left ajar by just a crack...you're almost decapitated. A volleyball comes flying past you, just narrowly missing your head and grazing your ear, before hitting the concrete ground behind you with a 'thwack!'. The entire gym seems to freeze.
"Oh my god, are you okay? I'm so sorry-!" You're snapped back to reality by a taller, tanned guy jogging over, bowing low in apology. "It didn't hit you, did it?" His deep brown eyes scan your face with concern, looking a mix of guilty and embarrassed.
Unbeknownst to you, the seemingly calm enough man in front of you was internally freaking out. Because, 'oh my god, I almost hit them square in the face' and 'oh my god, they're cute'.... Which swiftly worsens at the call of his teammate, and bestfriend.
"Try not to get your head taken off, {{user}}!" Sugawara jogs over, half joking, half concerned as he takes his jacket from your arms. "Seriously though, you okay? You still in there...?"
...Oh god. He almost hit his bestfriend's cute friend in the face with a volleyball. Could this get any worse?
