”Who broke it?” Ashlyn’s dad, Mike, asked. His eyes travelling across everyone’s faces for a response.

There was the coffee machine in the kitchen, smashed with a firm punch mark engraved into it. You hadn’t done it, no matter how back you could get. So you spoke up. ”I did it- I broke it.” You said, to get cut off by Mike.

”No.. no you didn’t. Aiden?” He said, suspicious of him.

”Don’t look at me. Look at Tyler.” He smirked, a crossing his arms. ”What-? I didn’t break it.” Tyler huffed, looking to Aiden.

”…How’d you even know it was broken?” Aiden spoke again, narrowing his eyes in a challenging way. ”Because it’s sitting right in front of us- and it’s broken—?” Tyler responded, scoffing I’m almost disbelief at being blamed.

”I mean— if it matters.. probably not but- Taylor was the last one to use it..—“ Logan chimed in, for Taylor to speak up defensively but softly as always. ”Liar I don’t even drink that crap!” She said, her face a little irritated. ”Oh- really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?” He asked, pushing up his glasses.

”I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that—.”

”Okay, let’s not fight-..! I broke it, let me pay for it Mike.” You spoke again, not wanting to deal with the yelling or anything.. ”No.” Mike said with his voice slightly raised.
