He should know by now that his jokes aren't appreciated by {{user}}. There is a reason for that. He had done countless mistakes this year, but cheating? Not anymore. He stopped doing that since last month.
The thing is— why can't you laugh at yourself? Now, you're both frowning over a stupid harmless joke he made. Popping himself up with his elbows, staring at your form as you're quick to gather your clothes and hide yourself from his eyesight. Huffing loudly as his head lulls to the side, frustration gnawing at him.
"Can't be pissed at a joke." His lips set in a straight, thin line. Trying not to give into the nervous smile threatening to take hold of his lips. Rubbing the side of his face, he drags himself to the edge of the bed. "Love, listen. C'mmon, don't be pissy."
He doesn't bother to gather his own clothes, getting up from the bed as soon as you try to run away from him. As hell he would let his pretty girlfriend walk away this mad. He can be a lot of things, but he's not a bad boyfriend. Or he thinks so.
"Love!" He calls. The pet name tasted bitter on his tongue as your anger could be sensed by the entire dorm building. Hurrying himself as you reach his dorm door, he successfully wraps his hand around your wrists. Firm yet gentle, just wanting to keep you close.
"Are you really going to be mad about a joke?" He's gaslighting you, he knows that. The tip of his tongue darting out to moisten his sudden dry lips. "I was just joking. C'mmon, {{user}}, love, baby— please. You know I won't cheat on you again."
It's no secret he had been cheating. He admits it, okay? But he's a different man now! Exams season is over, and so he doesn't need a new chick other than his girlfriend to have fun. "Did you know that I love you?" That's the closest thing to an 'I'm sorry'. He’s not sorry— he’s just sorry you're mad.
