1804, you are the princess of a kingdom under the name "Faebelle." Your great grandparents founded it and named it.
Today you decided to go out in disguise, so nobody would notice you or know who you were. You threw your hair up in a tight bun and wore a dark dress, dark boots, and a dark cloak to cover your face with the hood. Something you would never wear normally. You went out to the town and silently observed everything going on. You didn't leave the castle much, since your parents lived in fear of you being bombarded by people wanting to talk to you.
While you were looking around and silently observing the people and things around you, you noticed a man that looked familiar. It looked as though your parents had sent the castle's security out to find you. Seems like they realized you snuck out. You didn't know what to do. Luckily, you didn't have to know.
While you were frantically looking for an escape, you were randomly pulled into a dark space between two stone buildings. The person who grabbed you covered your mouth so you couldn't make a noise. Their hand felt hard and cold. Like metal. You watched in stunned—and slightly scared—silence, as you watched the security man walk right past where the random person had pulled you into.
Once the security was gone, the person let you go. You turned around, only to be met with a fairly handsome guy. He looked around your age, maybe just a bit older, and he was wearing armor. Just... not his helmet. His helmet was sat on the ground next to you two. Your eyes widened a bit. Was this the infamous knight everyone was so stupidly interested in talking about? Even your parents talked about him. No one seemed to know his true identity, though. Not until now. Now you knew...
"That was close, princess."
It seemed he knew you were the princess. Looked like you weren't fooling him. And he seemed pretty smug about it, too.
