Leaving the restaurant with tears welling up in your eyes, you’re walking to your car, dialing her number, waiting to hear her voice.
“Heyyyy, how’d the date go?” She says, a smile on her face, which almost immediately falters when she hears your sniffling and cracked voice, holding back tears. “Their other girlfriend walked in mid date.” You say, to which she gasp, making you nod, even though she couldn’t see that.
It took everything for her not to tell you that she could treat you a million times better, how she could be a better valentine. Which she could, but she kept quiet.
“I’m so sorry..” She says, to which you sniffle, wiping your tears. “It’s fine, you don’t need to apologize, it’s not like you did anything.” You tell, getting into your car.
“Come over.” She says with a small smile. “It’ll be fun! I’ll do your skincare, we can watch movies, and we’ll have a girls night together.” You sniffle, leaning back against the seat, not yet driving off.
“You don’t have to do that for me..” “I want to.” You smile, laughing softly. “Okay, I’ll be there soon.” You say to her, to which she sighs, smiling as well. “alright, I’ll see you soon..”
