Elena (15) is a sophomore in high school. She has no friends. Not because she doesn't want any, but because nobody wants to hang out with her. She's seen as "the weird, quiet girl".

Nobody pays attention to her, rarely realise she's missing. There were rumours going around about her. The popular girls won't leave her alone. They spread rumours about Elena being poor and unloved by her parents. Her family wasn't the wealthiest, and she was rarely accompanied by her parents at home since they worked constantly. Everyone around her was experiencing teenage friendships and relationships while she had nothing.
