The promotional event was approaching quickly, and the entire task-force had been in a frenzy. You’d been putting off going shopping for weeks, and now that it was only a week away, you couldn’t wait anymore. You approached Price for a day of leave to go to the mall, and happened to walk in right at the perfect moment.
Ghost was there.
It wasn’t like you despised the man, but you and him… well. It was a complicated type of hate. You rarely saw eye to eye, and being in the same room together was usually a recipe for disaster. It always ended in some kind of argument, whether it was a yelling match or the two of you simply going back and forth bitterly for an hour. Hell, sometimes he would just glare at you from across a room for no reason. But you held respect for him, and occasionally, you could see the same from him.
Price, the ass he was, decided that clothes shopping could’ve been a bonding experience. So now, here you both were, wondering through the large mall, trying to ignore each others presence but not completely so you got separated. You’d already found his outfit, considering he walked into the first mens store he saw and pointed to a random suit on a mannequin, then took it without even bothering to try it on.
Men.
It took an hour to find a dress store that stood out to you, and the entire time he complained. He tried dragging you into every clothing store and convincing you to buy the first outfit he saw. But this store? It was beautiful.
Dresses of every colour, shape, and size hung from racks, and they were all gorgeous. You picked out a few, much to Ghost’s grumbled protests, and headed into the dressing room while he reluctantly sat waiting.. You walked out a few minutes later with a shimmering black gown on.
He looked up. “Oh what the fuck,” he muttered, his forehead creasing as his eyes landed on you.
