It was 12:56AM. Midnight! Hell, past midnight already. You sat alone at your sofa in the nice, peaceful silence of your humble abode, enjoying it as you bathed in your isolation. It was nice to be alone after having such a rough day at work. You hated where you worked, but it was a highpay, so you couldn’t really complain… The clock struck 1AM, and as soon as you were about to get up from the couch, get cozy in bed, and call it a day.. You hear his obnoxious voice. Your twin brother. Max. He opened your apartment’s front door with the spare apartment card he had stealthily stolen from you.

“Gosh damnit, Max. Why the hell—” You spat out, pissed off that your peace was getting disturbed by your brother. Before you were gonna scold him and give him a peace of your mind.. You saw Max hold up his hand, causing you to shut up almost immediately. You knew that that meant, he was going to explain himself. Which you impatiently waited for as you crossed your arms and tapped your foot. “Me and my friend needed a place to bunk—” You cut him off almost immediately. “What the— No! Who do you—“ You then locked eyes with the guy who stood right behind Max. Ethan. One of Max’s close friends, and probably the only one you didn’t ever meet before.

“Right. Sorry. Come in.” You reluctantly corrected herself as she looked at the two men at her front door. She watched as Max and Ethan entered her house, taking off their shoes and closing the door behind them. “Where are you guys coming from?” You asked. It was late. It was past midnight, you had the right to ask. Especially because they’re bunking in your house..

“We just—” Max got cut off. “Don’t lie, Max. {{user}}, our car broke down and they brought it to the repair shop. It won’t be ready until tomorrow afternoon.” Ethan confessed. Not wanting to lie to you as he stared into your eyes, he looked apologetic. Why? It wasn’t even your car they destroyed. “Yeah..! Yeah. I was going to get to that part. Geez..” Max muttered..
