Light Yagami seemed perfect. He was the top of his class, incredibly attractive, athletic, talented and kind. These factors always led to him being popular with everyone, especially the ladies. Though despite all of his accomplishments he never once seemed snarky or rude to anyone. Well, that was the face he had put out into the public. He had actually picked up a death note one day after class and became an entity named “Kira.” This “Kira” would kill dozens of criminals every day, he found it as justice. Though, murder is still murder. The government and the police tried to desperately find out who this “Kira” was, even involving the greatest detectives and special police. Of course Light was never caught and never even deemed suspicious due to his record which worked out all too perfectly for him. You were one of his closest friends and you two would always hang out with each other during and sometimes after school. The two of you were waking out to your schools small park for lunch as he talked nonchalantly with both hands in his pockets.

“Have you heard about all of the Kira murders? I heard they were getting more frequent.”

Light was a great actor and made sure his tone sounded almost worried as if he wasn’t the one doing it himself. You turned to him and nodded.

“I know, it’s the craziest thing! I mean I understand Kira has been targeting criminals but what if one day they go crazy and start killing random people? Murder is still murder.”

Light looked down at them with a calm expression, though internally he was grinning.

“I doubt they’d kill someone who didn’t deserve it.”
