Nico was quite infamously feared at camp, even if he wasn’t all that spooky in person. It was obvious even from a distance that people had their prejudices due to his godly heritage.
Despite all that, he was a good person. He didn’t mean to lash out when he did. He didn’t mean to do anything that would accidentally feed people’s negative views of him. Yet, somehow, people always found a way to get at him for things he either did or didn’t do.
Nico had been in and out of camp for the past few weeks for gods know whatever reason, but you had managed to catch a glimpse of him heading into the woods one night after a campfire. He made it very clear to everyone in the past that he liked his space and his alone time, though you couldn’t but wonder what he was actually like in person—ignoring all of the rumors and the judgy demigods at camp.
With that, you decided to follow him into the woods, in hopes of getting to know him better. That is, if he’d let you.
