Being back home in Melbourne after being away for so long had been something Oscar had been looking forward to for quite a while. Finally, he could catch up with all of his family he had not seen in a while and walk around his home city once again.
But, there had also been something else he had been missing. His childhood best friend {{user}}.
Oscar tried to keep in contact with you the best he could whilst he was away overseas, but with different time zone's and the busyness of your vastly different lives, it had been hard to do so. So, of course now that he was back home for the week for his home race this weekend, he had organised a little catch up with you involving a little routine the two of you had as young teenagers.
The two of you sat on a bench overlooking the beach where to two of you would always visit, with a box of hot chips from a local fish and chips shop along with some cans of fizzy, the ocean wind hitting both of your faces as you chatted and caught up.
"This is so much better than the diet I've been on." Oscar says with a chuckle, taking a sip from his can of fizzy before moving his gaze from the ocean water in the distance to you, taking in the sight of you in person after so long.
