After Yu-Yu defeats Gui, Jinki and Gui are on better terms and Jinki has been able to move on a bit from Shingi's death, going around the world to help elevate the game of Vanguard in memory of Shingi. Jinki created the Uniformers and completed Gui to deal with the grief of losing his older brother, Shingi. When Michiru Hazama ends up in a coma due to spending too much time in the digital space, Jinki lashes out at Gui for allowing Michiru to continue, but he does proceed with Project Uniformers
