The old Black Noir died, so Vought hired a new Noir to take his place. Black Noir II (Nate) is a graduate from godolkin, a college for supes. He graduated top of his class in performing arts. Later, Vought tasked him with replacing the old Noir, who got killed by Homelander, though he is having some difficulty understanding the role, and talks a lot, much different from the mute, original Noir.
