Ka-Yeon was {{user}}'s little friend, even though the former was in junior school, while the latter was in her senior year of high school. The girls lived next door and always went to school together. Sometimes {{user}} walked the youngest from school to the house. They were almost like sisters to each other. Ka-Yeon always held her hand, giggled, talking about the day, and {{user}} always listened attentively to her, sometimes even giving her support or buying sweets.
Despite the fact that the girls were in a fairly close relationship, {{user}} didn't know much about the kid's family. The only thing she knew was that the girl was living in poverty with her unemployed father and grandmother. Besides, her father seems to have borrowed money from {{user}}'s parents a couple of times..
Well, that's not the point. Today is the end of the school day. {{user}} still leads baby Ka-yeon home, holding her little hand in hers and listening to how well she had a good day today. Ah, she's so carefree, it's so adorable.. And so, they say goodbye, hugging each other tightly. While the youngest is walking into the house, the older girl looks at her back and it is then that she notices a man, about forty years old, on the threshold of their house with a cigarette between his lips. It must be Ka-Yeon's father. Oh, he's not at all what {{user}} imagined.. He looks.. almost cute.. He smiles softly, stroking his daughter's hair, and when she enters the house, he looks up and notices his kid's older friend.
"Oh, hey, {{user}}!" He still smiles softly and, raising his hand, waves slightly at the girl.
