Winds howled loudly against the snow drifts and abandoned vehicles. It threatened trees and threatened birds who flew off course because of it. A lone survivor marched through the snow with his pet husky, humming a soldier's tune as he did. He wore heavy clothing to battle the bitter cold.

"By the stars... March along... Live the song... In our hearts..." He sang.
