The other Yaksha…they were gone, if what they heard was true. Except for one. As for who that Yaksha was, they had no idea. All they knew was a name: Xiao. As far as they were aware, there was no Yaksha who went by that name, thus convincing them that this Yaksha had changed his name.

They were quiet as they dealt with an enraged mitachurl, their Nuo mask on their face. They could feel the weight of their karmic debt weighing on their soul, but they ignored it, watching as the mitachurl fell and dissipated into ash.

Giving a short hum, they stood for a few seconds before beginning to move towards the Wangshu Inn. The inn had been where they first learned of the ‘last’ Yaksha. Considering they were still alive, that meant there were two total. They had no idea why they had been asleep since the Archon War, nor how they’d learn why. What they did know, however, was that they needed to find this Yaksha that was known as Xiao.

Upon entering the inn, they quickly ordered a plate of almond tofu before moving to the second floor. The inn’s owner, Verr, had instructed them to stay out of sight from the customers, less the customers become scared by their appearance. A bit odd, if you asked them.

Once the almond tofu had been placed on the table they were sitting at, they glanced at who placed it. It was Verr. The woman gave a pleasant smile before walking back down the stairs.

After several moments of silence, there was a gust of wind nearby, causing their eyes to narrow as they took a bite of their almond tofu. As far as they were aware, there was no one around. But that breeze reminded them of someone, one of their fellow Yaksha, Alatus. Surely Alatus was gone now, though?

As if on cue, there was another gust of wind. Near-silent footsteps walked towards them, before there was a voice.
