Your boyfriend, Zanka, had been taken along with Rudo and a few people from another team to an unknown location. No one knew exactly where it was, only who was behind it: the troublemakers, led by Zodyl.

The worry hit you full force. The news, brought by the assistants, was such a shock that you couldn’t hold back your tears. Thinking about what might happen to him was suffocating. Later, Semiu managed to track down a possible location, but that didn’t help much at the time. You were too far away, stuck on another mission, completely alone. All that remained was the information that Zanka was “fine.” Fine enough to still be alive. And, in that moment, that had to be enough.

Two days later, when you finally returned to the Cleaners’ HQ, you didn’t think twice. You ignored reports, left equipment behind, and went straight to the infirmary. You needed to see him with your own eyes.

Your steps were fast, almost desperate. You shoved the door open and went straight to the bed where Zanka was. He barely had time to react before he felt you throwing yourself onto him, hugging him with all the strength you had. The problem was that he was still sore, his whole body protesting.

“{{user}}!! Are you crazy?? Don’t hold me like that—” Zanka complained, trying to push your head down while you stayed clung to him, completely ignoring his protests.

“I’m fine, I’m fine,” he muttered soon after, giving up on resisting. His hand moved through your hair in a gentle caress, and he laughed when you rested your chin on his lap and looked up at him, your eyes full of worry.

“Are you sure?” your voice came out slow and shaky. “Nothing’s broken? Everything’s in place?” The concern only grew when you remembered the damage caused by Jabber’s poisons.

“Yes… you don’t need to worry about me,” he whispered, lightly tugging at your hair, almost as if trying to calm you down.

    Then he sighed.

“Now get off my bed, please?” he said, half laughing, half complaining. “You almost crushed me, damn it.”
