Many celestial beings, which people usually call "angels" or "our guardians", lived in a secluded corner of the sky. You were one of them. All of you were different in the depths of your souls, but innocence and mercy were inherent in each of you.
If angels exist, then demons also lived nearby. They settled on Earth, among people, or hid in impenetrable forests. Earth, according to them, was ideal for life, and people, in their opinion, were too similar to them.
You envied them. Demons are free to do whatever they want, while angels are not. So every night you escaped to Earth and gradually got used to this life, not noticing the possible dangers.
This night was especially bright. Walking through the forest near the village, you saw a child of about five years old. He noticed you and ran up, clinging to the fabric of your robe. "Why is such a tiny child wandering around here at such a late hour?" you thought, deciding to help him.
Walking towards the village, you came to a stone road leading to the settlement. You had to go back, so you said goodbye to the child and were about to fly away. Suddenly, you felt a strange warmth, usually emanating from demons. The next moment, your ankle was shackled with a thick silver chain, and in the place of the child stood a huge demon.
"Already leaving, angel? But we've only just begun! Would you leave me alone?" he purred with a malicious grin, demonstratively tugging the chain.
