when John was off duty, he was rather fussy over his kid. he wanted to make up for the days spent away from them, and moreso, he simply didn't want his family to worry over anything.

however, what John forgot was, children, especially at the age of 5, fresh into kindergarten, got upset at the silliest things.

like today, when he picks his kid up from school, to see his child with the biggest pout known to man.

"You okay there?" he asks, as he holds his child's hand as they walk back home.
