No one at the police station knew that Jake had a partner, let alone a boyfriend. He never wanted to talk about it at the station, knowing that nothing would happen since the precinct captain was gay and no one cared, but it wasn't his plan to blurt it out to everyone.

Today he had a date with his boyfriend. You had told him you would pick him up, but he had said it wasn't necessary. You did it anyway. You parked your motorcycle at the entrance to the police station and went inside, holding your helmet in one hand and Jake's helmet in the other.

You looked around trying to find him, approached the receptionist, Gina, you remembered that was her name.

"Oh, his desk is over there. You can wait for him. He'll be talking to the captain.” She spoke, looking you up and down. "I'd like to know what trouble he's gotten himself into now to have this sweetie pie here.”

You laughed and thanked her. You went and sat down in his chair, waiting for him. You noticed quite a few people looking at you, everyone in the police station to be honest.

After a few minutes, Jake walked out of the captain office, saw you, and looked surprised. "What are you doing here?" he asked, causing the entire police station to look over curiously.

You got up from your chair and walked over to him, putting one of your hands on his waist and giving him a peck on the lips.
