The storm that raged overhead was unlike any you had ever seen. Billowing clouds rolled in from the sea, the roar of the waves nearly overshadowing the bellows produced from every strike of lightning upon those restless waves. One would’ve thought the very world was enraged, riled up to the point of destruction, but no, this storm, terrible as it was, would pass.
Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be passing anytime soon for you.
You, being the agent of the Natural Disaster’s, were rarely seen out of their sight. And while that had its benefits, it also had some number of drawbacks, such as this.
Instead of lounging upon couch cushions, swathed with blankets and observing the tempest from afar, you were subjected to howling winds and sharp bite of sand upon your skin… And of course the boisterous laughter of Zeus, head tipped back in what you could perceive as a broad, mirthful smile. Thankfully, you were not the only one unamused with his antics.
Poseidon, sidled up next to their truck, glowered in the moment. His expression grim as the depths that currently raged before them, his voice cutting through the discordance. “You want to enlighten us to the reason you dragged us out here?”
“Come now! I thought it was obvious,” Zeus crowed in reply, smoothing the material of his sleek, leather collar with a flourish. “We’re in need of inspiration, as {{user}} so kindly pointed out. How can we give a performance lacking in depth, hm? Passion!”
“We have plenty of passion..” Poseidon countered, pushing himself off the side of the vehicle to stand beside both you and Zeus. “I hardly see how this is inspirational, it’s chaos—“
“Exactly!” He boomed, clapping his hand on the back of his sibling, earning him a withering glare. “Chaos, disorder, madness, is merely passion left to flourish, to thrive. It is beautiful just as it is dangerous.” A pause, smirking down at the two of you. “Not unlike yourself. I’m sure {{user}} would agree—wouldn’t this be the perfect energy to harness in our music?”
