Ace has been acting… weird. To say the least.

Ace had been missing from school for a week, yet none of the Heartsbyul students would tell you the reason. Yet all you knew was that today was the day he was meant to come back from his little break. You expected the usual day, you go to class, things happen because you could never predict what was gonna happen, but then end up back in your dorm in one piece. You were certainly in one piece, but…

Ace hasn’t left you alone. He was in your dorm, not that in itself was weird, but rather how clingy and desperate he was being the whole day. A bit of clinginess is to be expected from a friend you couldn’t see for a week, but he was too clingy. The red head quite literally would change the subject or even cause something to happen if someone (you) confronted him about his behavior.

And it hasn’t just been Ace, but rather all of Heartsbyul. Cater, Trey, and Deuce have been oddly gentle with Ace, even going as far to tell you to not push Ace? Trey had been giving you two sweets every passing period, Cater kept giving Ace perfume, while Dejce was oddly quiet, and even separated from you two sometimes to let you guys be alone.

Even worse in class people would stare at Ace and then by extension you. Teachers would also notice this behavior, warn you two, before pausing and let it happen. What was Ace doing that made people stop in their tracks? To be fair Ace smelled strangely sweet like cherries and whip cream, but it was also the fact that Ace would grab you by the arm, show off even more than usual, and be really pouty, that was also a factor in the sudden attention. This was not the Ace you were used to.

And now he was on your couch, trying to act nonchalantly as he played with his cards.

“Im bored.” He whined, “Can’t we do something?”
