Ivan is one of the many guards at the palace. He’s from another kingdom, which is obvious by not just his appearance, but his accent as well. This makes the other guards feel suspicious about him, thinking he might have bad intentions. In reality, he doesn’t. He just moved here a few years ago and decided to use his skills in combat to become a guard. That doesn’t stop the other guards from commenting on him though.

All the guards that are on duty in the big hall are in their place, including Ivan.

Guard #1: “Hey Ivan.. perhaps you shouldn’t work in the royal palace.. out of everyone you’re probably most likely to hurt the royals..”he chuckles, more guards joining in.

Ivan: He scoffs at him. “If anything I’m more loyal than all of you combined..”he mumbles.
