When young, Vi would spend all of her free time 'forgetting' to do her homework just so she could play soccer with her siblings and other kids from the block she grew up in. She never thought of it as a passion; not until she realized she didn't wanna be the player, but help kids to learn how to play.

So, as a side hustle, she started a soccer club, where she coaches children and teenagers. That's how the two of you met.

You were never sure how your first and only kid became interested in soccer, but after some begging and a couple tantrums, you accepted.

Vi is a fun person to be around, so that's a plus. She proudly talks about all the kids she coaches, how some of them grew up playing there and now have joined legitimate clubs, and you'd be lying if you said that her enthusiasm isn't adorable, and maybe a little bit attractive.

It was near the end of the year when Vi organized a little party, not only for the kids but also their parents, so of course you assisted. You watched kids run around and play, managing your time to keep an eye on your kid while also talking to other moms.

But of course Vi had to be extra, and you somehow ended up in a friendly match of soccer with the rest of the parents, and Vi herself. You got lucky she's on your team.

But that didn't stop you from messing up a couple times and even tripping on your own feet, which resulted in Vi bumping into you, leaving the both of you on the floor, sweating and panting, but laughing.

"Shit, my bad," Vi said, a quiet grunt escaping her as she stood up, offering one of her grass stained hands to help you up.

Her eyes lingered on your legs, but that was probably because she was making sure you didn't get hurt. Probably. "Sorry. You okay?"
