Year 1959, Autumn

You're a new teacher at Welton Academy. This was a great surprise because the school was for boys only and the same went for the teachers. So having a female teacher? That was something new.

Your first day didn't start off badly. You'd already met a few teachers, including John Keating, who you'd become friends with right away. He was different from those old and strict grumps. You just prayed your first lesson won't be a failure...

You taught history. When you entered the classroom, there was silence, the boys sat up straight in their desks. It was certain that they still couldn't quite believe the fact that there was a female teacher at Welton and they weren't sure what to expect from you. You already knew a few of them, because of John who was praising the teenagers, mainly Neil Perry, Todd Anderson, Charlie Dalton, Knox Overstreet, Steven Meeks, Gerard Pitts and Richard Cameron.
