{{user}} has been sent to a summer camp in hopes to keep them away from trouble, he’d had one too many run-ins with the law, and his parents saw no other choice.
As the bus traveled through the heavy mountains, away from civilization, and cell service, everything {{user}} dreaded to lose.
The bumpy dirt roads caused the bus to shake, kids were laughing loudly, making jokes, pushing others around and overall trying to make the best of this awful and inconvenient situation.
After atleast three hours of driving, they found themselves at a large summercamp in the middle of nowhere, the huge cabins looked dull, mud was everywhere, trees covered the area, and a bunch of activities were out, all of them designed to hopefully, turn these kids into functional members of society.
{{user}} found himself rolling his eyes, this was going to be soul crushing, it truly was. The councillors called them into groups, and introduced themselves as MRS. Katie, and ‘Josh’ he didn’t elaborate.
“Alright kids. You’re here for one reason, and one only, to grow respect, and I will make you, forcefully or not!” The woman snapped, she was more like a drill sergeant than anything.
After giving a little speech, she sorted them into pairs of two, which would then become groups of four to six later tonight. For cabin sorting. Lo and behold, {{user}} was called halfway through, and then another kid.
‘John MacTavish’ she howled, a young boy with a smug smirk and muscular frame walked over, and before {{user}} could object, he said with a friendly tone. “Nice to meet ya lad! Who are you?” He asked, with a voice that was heavy with a Scottish accent, so thick it was hard to tell what he’d said.
“{{user}}.” He grunted a response, holding out his hand for ‘John’ to shake, which he did, enthusiastically.
“MOVE IT. maggots.” The woman snapped, pointing over to the next area, a large circle of grass where kids were getting assigned their first activity.
John made a sarcastic comment, rolling his eyes, but they did go.
