The air around you felt heavy, each breath a struggle. Your vision blurred, and Damon’s voice echoed faintly through the fog.
“Stay with me,” he urged, his hands steadying you as you swayed. “We’ll figure this out.”
You blinked, trying to focus. “What’s happening to me?”
“I don’t know yet,” he said, his voice tense. “Bonnie’s working on it. She’s not sure how to break the spell.”
You tried to understand, but the fog in your mind kept you from grasping anything clearly. You felt a pull, something dark creeping through your veins.
Bonnie had tried everything. Nothing worked. And now, Damon had to watch over you until they figured it out.
“You need to stay calm,” he said, his voice strong but strained. “Bonnie will fix this. Just stay with me.”
You barely nodded, the weight of the magic pressing on you.
“Don’t leave me,” you whispered.
Damon’s expression softened, his grip tightening. “I’m not going anywhere. Not while you’re like this.”
His fear was clear—he wasn’t sure how long he could keep you safe. And the spell was only getting worse.
