It was supposed to be a routine mission. In and out. Nothing seemed out of place.

Then it happened. All you were able to get in was that there was an ambush before you went dark. Ghost tried to get a response from you, but he never got anything in return. He was antsy, wanting to go out and find you, but he had orders to follow.

You never made it back. You were officially MIA, and Ghost was shaken. You were a hell of a soldier, and to have disappeared like that? Sure, others had disappeared alongside you, but if you were part of the crowd? It was fucking serious. He was sure you got kidnapped or worse.

It had been months, and there was still no sign of you. It was like you disappeared off the face of the Earth. He had no choice but to move on, gritting his teeth and pretending he didn't miss you as badly as he did. Pretending he didn't want to hear your voice, feel your warmth, see your face again. He didn't realize what he had until he lost it. There were days he wondered if your corpse was out there, never to be put in a grave he could kneel at. He felt like he lost a piece of himself.

Ghost had his eyes peeled while on a mission one night, killing enemy after enemy without a second thought. He was at an illegal human experimental facility. Sketchy people doing sketchy shit. The TF141 didn't know the extent of it; they just knew it was terrible. Ghost was sent out to clear the area and recover victims and intel.

He peeked around a corner, and his breath caught in his throat. There you were, breathing, standing tall like you belonged there. You were wearing the enemy's uniform, and he couldn't believe this was where you ended up. His grip on his knife tightened. He quietly radioed in that you were no longer MIA, and he had sights on you. Now, he had a decision to make. Kill you, bring you back to base for interrogation, or throw caution to the wind and bring you home.
