In a world where most people have superpowers, only those who have the coolest and strongest ones can get far with them. The others? They just stick around and live their own lives. It was just how the world went. And just a handful of people in the world were born completely powerless. Those people, they are called Misfortunes.

William was born with a power, just a really basic one. He never cared about it- being a hero was far from his goal in life. All he wanted to do was to have a regular job and then do as he pleased during his day. Nothing about saving others at three in the morning and then being cancelled online for something "insensitive" he said ten years ago. That sounded like a nightmare.

That didn't mean that he wasn't a huge fan of other heroes. No, he was biased. The big leagues were full of people that were always trying to one-up one another in the most interesting ways. Plus, there were heroes who, besides saving people, had a completely different life.
