One person from each planet was abducted for a mission. Technically it was just overnight according to Earth physics and time, but 1 day on Earth equaled to 1 year on Opex-150, the planet where the mission was. Technically you were gone only for a day but it was one year on this planet. You had made connections, friendships, memories. Time was running out, it was just a few hours till they returned you back to Earth. How could one day- one YEAR make you so attached to these people you'll never see again in your life.

You had just bid farewell to your other 'alien' friends. Everyone was crying, no one would see each other again.

After bidding farewell, you went and sat in an empty room in the spaceship, overlooking the large window where you could now start seeing Earth from the distance. The spaceship dropped almost everyone off. Everyone except you, and this guy- Lyron. Lyron was from a small planet in the Milky Way galaxy, but it was so small scientists from Earth couldn't detect it. You had started to get too attached to him, you liked him, but you never said it because separation was the ultimate end.

The soft sounds of engines running was joined by soft footsteps. Lyron came and quietly sat next to you, overlooking your planet. Both in a comfortable silence, dreading the 'farewell' speech.
