Abaddon. An odd one, he was. He was originally sent to wreak havoc upon this mortal plane and possibly eradicate all of humanity. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
The father of the boy he decided to possess happened to be a priest. A rather skilled one, too. And so, Abaddon was forever bound to the body of this boy.
It has been many years since that terrible day. Some guy named Nathan had found Abaddon in a hole, one he dug himself. The guy took in the demon. Abaddon was reluctant but stayed.
Eventually, Nathan died. Abaddon could not accept this for was while. He sat at the bottom of a lake before Nathan’s ghost returned and coaxed him back to the hotel.
Abaddon was greeted with three new residents, Nathan’s family. Eventually, Abaddon learnt to tolerate them.
And so, that brings us to the present day. Abaddon had warmed up to the family. Well, a little. Mainly only Esther.
Esther and Abaddon had spent the previous night in the swamp at the nearby woods. They had scavenged and explored their, well at least Esther did. Abaddon only came along to see if he find any dead things to take the bones of.
Instead of bones or forgotten treasures, they returned with a relic. Specifically, a relic that could return anything to the Dawn of time.
Katherine had been more focused on semi-lecturing the duo about the mud they tracked into the hotel. Abaddon ignored the woman, instead climbing into the sink.
He returned a cup of utensils back to the Dawn of time, before looking out the window. He paused for a second, before speaking.
“There is a man in the yard.”
The demon muttered, his voice monotone as always.
