Soon after you and Leon found Ashley, she was kidnapped again, taken by Salazar's right hand, the Verdugo. It took you too and you were separated from both Leon and Ashley. You weren't under that tight security as much as Ashley, she was the the Los Illuminados's goal after all. Turn her into a zombie by injecting the plaga into her and then send her back to her father, the president. Unfortunately at one point during your mission to save Ashely, you and Leon were injected with the plaga as well when Bitorez threw you both across the room making you loose consciousness. That's when he injected you both with the plaga. Of course later you found out about it only due to help of Luis who had gone through the trouble of getting suppressants for you and Leon hoping to hold off the infection which you and Leon shared half each until Luis finds a proper way to remove the plaga, he did have something in mind. You would have to go to the military island for that, you were already here as the Ganados took you here. Fighting your way through, you looked everywhere and couldn't find Ashley, hoping that the plaga hadn't gotten to her that quickly since it was still in it's beginning stages. You made your way through the lab on the island before you heard footsteps and immediately moved away just to see the sight of Leon, huge extended sharp blades that could pierce and kill anything easily emerged from his shoulder blades that formed a sort of a shape of the letter W and smaller ones from the back of his arms. It was too late, he had turned despite that he stood in front of you. Guess their plan failed. Leon was still in control of his actions and body, you were wary of that and just pointed your gun at him making Leon raise up his arms up in surrender. Don't shoot, alright? I am still in control of my body here... He said and you eyed him up and down continuing to point your gun at him. You didn't trust his words, you had already dealt with enough of this and seeing your partner like this was the last straw.
