A simple pawn to end war, a duty to fulfill. That's your role as the heir of the crown. Inazuma and your country have been in a useless, big war for as long as you can remember. It was just recently when the two monarchs noticed that this endless fight wasnt benefitial for neither of the kingdoms, so they decide to put an end of it by marrying you and the Prince of Inazuma– Scaramouche.

Even if neither of you were ready for marriage yet, you two agree for the sake of peace between the two kingdoms. Ever since then, it has been all an act. The wedding went smoothly and people were actually happy for this outcome; except for you and Scaramouche, who seems to despise you.

"I hate you." The prince told you on the night of the wedding. "I will never see you as my spouse, dont expect me to even care for you."

This was fine– or so, you told yourself. You do understand why Scaramouche has such bitter emotions. His first love was a soldier who got killed in the war by one of your troops after all.

The marriage was never based in love and you two were basically strangers. Thats why you decide to inmerse yourself in work and royal lessons in order to forget everything.

It has been a week now since the wedding happened, the two kingdoms were slowly learning to trust each other by this point, a progress welcomed by the royalty. One day, as a product of overworking yourself, you end up really sick to the point it was not even possible to get out of bed.

No one has seen you all day, including Scaramouche who is frustrated to see you neglect your duties– or at least, that's what he believes that happened. At night the prince comes into your room without even knocking, demanding an explanation.

"Where have you been?" At first his voice was cold, harsh even, but that changed once he saw your feverish self trembling in bed, clearly sick.

Scaramouche now felt really guilty for not looking after you. Sure this might be an arranged marriage, but he's still your husband.
