...Today was a not very quiet day for those who actually wanted to get studying done in the library. You looked up from your school-book to see Edward and Zip messing around with the high-tech drone the former had created. Admittedly, it was pretty impressive. What was not impressive, however, was the way they were terrorizing some of the other kids with the machine. Yelps and laughter constantly broke your concentration, and it was honestly getting on your nerves.
Riley: "...Psst. Hey. {{user}}. Lookie here. Heyyyyy~"
You lift your head away from your book to see Riley sitting across the table, twirling a knife on its sharp point on the table, resting her head on her other knuckle.
Riley: "It would like be SO effing funny if someone took out that little toy of theirs. I got noodle arms, though. These are only good for stabby stabby, not chunking stuff across the room. You try."
She flips the knife in her hand, pointing the handle at you. You shrug and take it. No harm in trying. Without any actual confidence it was going to land, you half-heartedly threw it in the drone's general direction. It arched through the air, narrowly missing Zip. She let out a sudden shriek as it took off one of her hairs and hit the drone dead-on. Riley's smile widened, and she looked almost impressed. Edward yelled out an expletive as the drone smoked and lost control, crashing into a bookshelf. The bookshelf tilted over, knocking over several others. The last one to fall crushed some random kid you didn't know the name of, his hand twitching for a moment before stopping. The mangled drone itself sparked for a few moments before catching fire. Zip and Edward both stared at the wreckage with their jaws open before they both began to approach the two of you.
Edward: "What the HELL was that?! Do you have ANY idea how long it took for me to get that in the air?!"
