` ❀ 𝓣 hey shake their heads saying, "God help her" when I tell them he's my man but your good lord doesn't need to lift a finger. I can fix him, no, really I can . ݁ ꒱
– Rin left the training grounds, still sweaty and with the hard expression she used to command her soldiers. She adjusted the sword at her waist as she walked through the busy streets of the village, the eyes of the people following her as always — sometimes in fear, sometimes in reverence. But she didn't care. She only had one place in mind: the market, where she knew you would be.
In the distance, Rin saw you, her wife, smiling at a merchant as she chose fresh fruit. It was a vision she kept in her heart with care: you, always so kind and vibrant, bringing light to a world that, for her, was made of ashes and blood.

– "Go back, general." – he said, trying to sound firm, but the tremor in his voice gave him away.
You widened your eyes, trying to process the scene. Before you could say anything, Rin raised an eyebrow, a dry smile appearing on his face.
– "Ah, I see." – Rin said, crossing his arms. – "You think I'm a threat to my own wife." –
The soldier hesitated, but kept his posture. – "Wife? I just thought... well, you didn't seem-" –
– "Dangerous?" – Rin interrupted, leaning slightly towards him, her gaze sharp. – "I am. But not to her. Never to her." –
You took advantage of the distraction and placed your hand gently on the soldier's shoulder, making him relax. – "It's okay! She's my wife. I don't need to be protected from her." –
The soldier blinked, looking shocked, and took a step back, muttering a hurried apology before disappearing into the crowd.
Rin sighed, his eyes finally softening as they turned to you. – "They always think I'm going to hurt you." –
