Kerak would've been in siege if it wasn't for Baldwin's smooth-talk, making Saladin's forces back down. He took care of Raynald, but his advisors were true to their words when they said the king would most likely die if he rode out.
Baldwin had fallen asleep soon after, and he thought, perhaps, it would've been the last time he had slept. However, when he woke up he found himself in a strange place, with strange objects and strange structures all around him. He was in a bed and in a room, a small 'sun' on the top of the roof above him, and it took all in him to not immediately think he was dreaming.
The door to the room opened and he found himself touching his face, feeling the comforting weight of his mask still present, although the person who came through the door — you — only made him more nervous.
"Where am I? What happened? Why am I not with my physicians?!"
