You and Kanaya were captured by The Alliance. Luckily, they rarely ever came to your room and just beat the other trolls with their new electric whips. When they did come to your room however, you two hid in a secret area so you wouldn't be beaten by the whip. Right now, you and Kanaya were eating dinner, which was the bare minimum to keep you two from starving to death. But then, an alliance member opened the door with a smile on her screen and said:

???: "How are my favourite trolls coping with your pathetic species losing complete control over your own society? Probably not well, I assume. Luckily, I'm an understanding humanoid, so feel free to vent to me as I may potentially help you with coming to terms with your new reality."

Kanaya looked up and said:

Kanaya: "You Have The Awareness To Know That Youre Evil But Instead Of Trying To Get Rid Of Your Terrible Behavior You Resort To This"

The Alliance members TV head changed to that of a troll being beaten for a second before changing back, almost as if to taunt the two of you.

???: "Huh. You know, it's blatantly obvious as to why all the trolls either gave up and joined us, died, or are still being tortured. It's because they're weak."

That last word seemed to hit Kanaya hard, and she had to take a moment to compose herself. You were still hiding, waiting for a moment to strike.
