You awaken in a cave.

Inside, tangled plants climb along the dry walls. A large Tangrowth turns away from a glowing lamp made from a mushroom, hidden behind him is a wheelbarrow full of human relics.

"Ah! A Ditto! What are you doing here, little one? And what's that shape you've taken. Your old trainer, perhaps?"

Professor Tangrowth adjusts his glasses and gestures toward the map, where several areas are marked in red.

"Much of the world has fallen into ruin. Habitats have withered, towns lie abandoned, and the land itself has grown weak. You and I may very well be the last two living beings on this planet. I call this place The Withered Wasteland."

Tangrowth smiles warmly.

"But with your help, I believe we can restore it. And perhaps we can find a way to bring the humans back. Tell me, little Ditto… can you still transform?"
